New Chinatown in Northern Powerhouse Investment Pitchbook
Our New Chinatown development, located in the south side of Liverpool’s city centre, has been included in the governments Northern Powerhouse Pitchbook. The document consists of a wide range of 20 projects, located in the North of England, which are available for investment worth £24 billion.
The Northern Powerhouse Pitchbook was presented to Chinese investors. The North is fast becoming seen as an area of great investment opportunities and positive economic growth, which could rival the South East and London.
The idea of the New Chinatown is to create a mixed use scheme for the community. It will also expand on what the city centre has to offer as a new visitor destination. The overall masterplan will expand over many sites to help integrate the New Chinatown with the historic existing Chinatown and the city centre.
The development will also help to revive the wider area by creating significant investment opportunities. The project will include 800 residential apartments, a 150 bedroom hotel and a vast 120,000sqft Chinese inspired Bazaar.
The catalyst effect of the New Chinatown and expanse of potential future developments has also meant that there is investment in the infrastructure around the area. This involves the potential re-opening of the previous St. James underground station.
